Encounter
The purpose of Encounter is to provide a worship service/experience geared towards young adults but open for everyone on Sunday evenings. In recent years many young adults have become disconnected from the local church body for a variety of reasons. Others do not feel comfortable in a traditional Sunday morning worship setting.
Who should attend?
- The believer looking for a more intimate worship experience
- Young adults or others that are disconnected from a local church
- Those heavily involved in other ministries on the weekends
- Shift workers who sometime cannot attend Sunday morning worship.
- People struggling with addictions, habits and hurts that Celebrate Recovery could minister to.
What is Encounter's goal?
We would like to see worshipers and attendees engaged in all 3 branches of Hope Summit’s mission. (Believe Belong and Become) Specifically, our vision includes:
- Young adults and others getting reconnected to a local body of Christ for edification and encouragement (Believe)
- People developing deeper relationships with each other (Belong)
- People encouraging and coming along side each other as we struggle with many issues including addictions, bad habits, attitudes and hang ups (Belong and Become)
- Ministry through service opportunities created (Become)
- God Stories! Testimonies of transformation are contagious and beneficial to our church’s spiritual growth (Become)
- Significant personal growth through Next Level classes (Believe Belong and Become)
Encounter Schedule
Fellowship Encounter- 5:30-6:15
Supper $3.00 per person suggested donation
Worship Encounter
6:15-7:00pm Worship and Communion (Nursery and Toddler care provided)
Next Level Encounter 7:00-8:00 (Four options)
- Celebrate Recovery ministry (click on link for description)
- Young Adult study and small group (20 somethings)
- Experiencing the Heart of Jesus study (all ages )
- Financial Peace study (all ages)
